Midland Silver Waistcoat Event 1 Thursday, July 29, 2010

The very first Midland Silver Waistcoat got under way on Sunday, providing a very honest turnout of 28 players from the U.K. The format was simple, round robin group stages, and straightknockout from thelast 16 onwards (including a plate, won by James Jelley).

Mitchell Mann vs Shane CastleI topped my groupand knocked in breaks of 133 and 106 along the way. After seeing off stiff competition in the knoockouts I eventually made it to the final against Shane Castle, I won the match 3 frames to 1 and took the high break prize too.

Thanks to everyone involved for the organisation of the event including parents, Rileys Erdington, Daryl Garland and my dad for what should produce some cracking future events.
