Venue breaks snooker club Erdington
It was a great weekend all round really as so many pros turned out to get some practice in for upcoming ranking events the likes of Steven Mcguire, Ryan Day, Ricky Waldon, Mark King and many more great players were out in fine form.

My first match was against Jimmy michie who could not make it so I had a by to the next round where I met Callum Downing himself a good player The match finished 5 - 1 to me.

Onto to a player called Alan Hooper also a threat but after a good solid match I was in the quarter finals and to be played the next day the match finished 5 - 2.

Finals day started with 8 players left up and coming players like Jamie Jones and Ben woolaston and pros such as Mark King Ricky Waldon and my opponent Joe Perry. Those who follow snooker know he is proven at the top level.

It turned out to be a great match for me as I went 2 1 up after losing the first Joe replied to level at 2 2 and I edged in front again with a break of 80 to go 3 2. Maybe I could win this? True to his form Joe leveled once more but I grasped a 4 3 lead again Joe matched the score so onto a decider and with one terrific break Joe was victorious. A great experience for me to mix it up with some great players.

Gearing up for my first Pios event
The 2007/08 Pontin's International Open Series starts in nine days time - with 139 players gearing up for the first event at Prestatyn. The tournament commences on July 15th and is run over 8 events the top eight at the end of this will be promoted to the main tour,so there is so much to play for and I have to be focused to produce my best snooker if I am to cut it at these events as there are some very useful players.My first match is against Lee page who i'm sure will be ready for it.
