2008-9 PIOS Event 8 May 5 - 9
Event 8 on the P.I.O.S and I had a real chance to turn pro needing only to reach the quarter finals by my reckoning, easier said than done though as there was still chance for a number of players to crash the top eight and join the main tour.

Round 1 (last 128)
For myself and a number of players I had a walkover (opponent was a no-show).

Round Two (Last 64)
Up against Anthony Mcgill and now I had a chance to see how I was cueing, close but I won 4 - 3.

Round Three (Last 32)
The draw was unkind and I was to play Jamie O'Neill (former pro last season) this would not be easy as he to could still make it back onto the main tour. It was my day however winning 4 - 2.

Round Four (Last 16)
Gary Wilson was my next opponent and I guess both of us had the final in sight. Gary managed to take the match though winning 4 - 2. Joe Joggia was the eventual winner. Congratulations!

I finished in joint 10th after 8 events 30 points off a main tour spot. It had been a very tough season but I feel I have gained a great deal of experience this year and will hope I can take this into next season with me. I remain positive I can do better next year.
